MAIDSTONE town centre has been placed on lockdown following the stabbing of a teenager outside a KFC restaurant.
Yesterday evening, April 23, an 18-year-old guy was “seriously assaulted.” According to reports, Kent Police are reportedly “combing” several areas of the shopping centre in search of the attacker.
Between 8.45 pm and 8.55 pm, the incident occurred near the intersection with Station Road.
The victim’s injuries were “consistent with stab wounds”, Kent Police reported.
Officers and the South East Coast Ambulance Service responded to the area.
After an examination of the man’s condition, he was sent to a London hospital.
Local locals have raised alarm about the occurrence.
One, quoted in KentOnline, said: “What is happening to Maidstone? It used to be such a quiet place, but it’s constant trouble now.”
Another added: “This side of town is frightening now, there seems to be something going wrong every weekend.
“It’s the part of town you want to avoid now.”
