According to a source, Prince William and Kate Middleton are “overwhelmed with regret” following their Caribbean royal vacation, which was marred by demonstrations.
Protests demanding compensation from the Royal Family for their involvement in the slave trade marred the visit.
Prior to their visit, Indian Creek chairman Sebastian Shol told the Daily Mail, “We don’t want them to land on our land, that’s the message we want to deliver,” and subsequently referred to the trip as a “slap in the face.”
“It was obviously more difficult than expected considering the demonstrations,” a source told US Weekly. They certainly have knowledge of the past, but being present during the protests was a great eye-opener.”
The couple is “overwhelmed by regret,” according to the source.
