Adaa khan will cook Sheer Khurma on Eid, she learns from her mother

Eid-ul-Fitr is tomorrow. The event marks the completion of the holy month of Ramzan’s dawn-to-dusk fasting. It’s a time to see friends and family, share Eid greetings, and eat a joyous dinner. Adaa Khan has her day’s plans in place.

Adaa said, “I’m planning to celebrate Eid with my family like we do every year. It’s always fun to celebrate festivals with your family and friends,” she added, “I plan to wear a gharara for Eid.”

She also takes a trip down memory lane, recalling the good times they used to have at her house when she was younger. then she smile while saying, “My childhood memory of Eid would be getting ready, then getting gifts as well as Eidi (money envelopes) from the elders and my brother and me would have competitions on who would get the most Eidi. We would buy little gifts from it and save part of it and it was fun. Now that we are the elders, we give the Eidi to our nephews.”

She further said, “I will be wearing something Indian; it will mostly be a gharara.”

The actress will be cooking sheer khurma as part of the excitement of preparing the unique dish, she said, Every year I make sheer khurma by myself and I have learnt that from my mom. I love it, it’s my favourite.”
