Becca Moore, a TikTok star, told the “insane” story of how an Uber driver came to her rescue after she was robbed at Coachella — and how she returned the favor in a wonderful way.
Becca Moore is a true online sensation. On TikTok, she has about 1 million followers and over 33 million likes, establishing a strong presence on the viral video network.
Moore is best known for her storytime videos, in which she shares the more thrilling and wild aspects of her life with her 820k followers — but her most recent tale isn’t just about her.
Moore posted a video on April 30 saying that she had been robbed a week previously while attending Coachella.
Moore stated that at the music event, a man who had been “hitting on” her stole her phone, credit card, and car keys from her purse. She claimed that a companion standing close overheard the man say that stealing her belongings would “make this girl talk to me tomorrow.”
Moore was stranded in an unfamiliar city with no phone, money, or mode of transportation, and she was forced to watch as her rental car was towed, with no method of informing her friends and family about her dilemma.
Fortunately, personnel at Moore’s hotel were nice enough to cover the cost of an Uber ride to a nearby Sprint store, where she could pick up a phone to tide her over. They had no idea that this occurrence would lead to a rapid friendship.

Moore’s Uber driver was quickly informed of her predicament. Rather than simply dropping Moore off at her destination and wishing her luck, the driver, Raul Torres, drove her to a local police station, where she filed a theft report.
Unfortunately, law enforcement was powerless to intervene. Nothing came of the event after Moore searched the man’s AirBnB, leaving Moore on her alone once more.
Raul, on the other hand, was not about to let his client down. Instead, the two went on their own to explore the AirBnB, eventually finding Moore’s phone and credit card near a gate to the grounds.

The two had bonded after getting Starbucks and margaritas together during the experience. Moore was overwhelmed with gratitude. She intended to repay Raul.
During their time together, Torres confessed that his father was dying of cancer and that he didn’t have much time left. His daughter, a high school senior, is getting chemotherapy as well.
Moore was well aware of her responsibilities. She started a GoFundMe account to help Raul and his family, with a $1,000 goal.
However, just a few days later, the goal had been smashed, and it now stands at a staggering $143,516 at the time of writing.
Moore has helped her Uber driver and his family raise over $100,000.
“Thank God he treated me like a daughter that day, too,” Moore said of her newfound bond with Torres and his family. “‘You today, me tomorrow.’”
Moore’s tale has now been picked up by various news outlets as word spreads about the incredible way she was able to repay a favor – and, in the process, form a lifelong connection.
