
Anne Hathaway discusses her ethereal white gown at her Cannes Film Festival debut
Anne Hathaway stunned audiences at the Cannes Film Festival when she walked down the red carpet for the first time in a stunning white gown for the premiere of her film Armageddon Time.
The Princess Diaries actor wore an elegant white strapless Armani Privé gown with an oversized bow and a long train. The diva finished off her look with a silver necklace set with a stunning royal blue sapphire.
“You hire Erin Walsh and you trust her,” the 39-year-old actor explained to People Magazine about why she chose to wear white on the special occasion.
“”You know, I’ve never been to Cannes, and I’ve been watching the film festival fashion unfold for a couple decades now,” Hathaway added. “And I’ve noticed that there are some things that you can never go wrong with.””
She went on: “You can never go wrong with a little glitz. You can never go wrong with something that appears chic and glamorous but is extremely comfortable.”
“I also noticed that many of my favourite actresses had firsthand experience wearing all white, “stated the actor “And that’s what I did.”
