Bella Hadid wore shortest-skirt with unexpected summer staple
Taking an Instagram-worthy photo is only half of the battle. Creating an easily brilliant caption to accompany it? That’s a challenge. So, the next time you’re stuck for ideas, take a cue from Bella Hadid’s latest Instagram photo and skip the text entirely, letting your clothing do all the talking.
The supermodel, who is known for her extravagant clothes as well as her runway walk, documented her look on Instagram on Sunday with a series of mirror shots. The outfit had a few standout components that made it worthy of summer wardrobe mood boards worldwide, despite its modesty (at least for Bella). For one thing, Bella was photographed wearing a low-rise ruched black skirt draped well below her exposed hip bones. She wore the bottoms with nothing underneath but a matching gold-buttoned vest, a trend that made a strong comeback in the fashion world last summer. In the photos, Bella kept her glam natural by holding her brunette locks up with her hand.

Bella was on a roll over the weekend, as she published another batch of photographs on her account just an hour later (also uncaptioned). Bella dressed in an all-white ensemble with a black vest in the first photo. In another, she wore a bright yellow oversized turtleneck sweaterdress and knee-high black boots while standing pantsless in the streets of New York City. A skin-tight brown halter dress, warm clothes, a yellow leather jacket, and a shot of Kin Euphorics, the non-alcoholic beverage brand she co-founded, were among the other items on the carousel.

The younger Hadid sister sat down with instyle earlier this year to chat about her new venture with Kin Euphorics and open up about the decision to practice sobriety. “I don’t feel the need [to drink anymore] because I know how it will affect me at 3 in the morning when I wake up with horrible anxiety thinking about that one thing I said five years ago when I graduated high school,” she said. “There’s just this never-ending effect of, essentially, you know, pain and stress over those few drinks that didn’t really do much, you know?”
