
Christy Moore, Irish folk hero, will perform in Belfast and Armagh in October
Christy Moore, an Irish music legend, has announced that he will perform in Armagh and Belfast in October, with tickets on sale this Friday at 9 a.m.
The popular folk singer last appeared in Northern Ireland five years ago, and will return in 2022 to perform at Belfast’s Waterfront Hall on October 3 and 5, with a week later at Armagh City Hotel.
Moore’s live gigs in Derry, Armagh, Newcastle, and Belfast in 2017 were all sold out.
After earning a lifetime achievement award at the RTE Radio 1 Folk Awards just a few days prior, he released his new album, Flying into Mystery, on November 19 of last year.
In RTÉ’s People of the Year Awards in 2007, the Co Kildare native was also awarded Ireland’s finest living musician.
Beginning with Paddy on the Road in 1969, the 77-year-old has released more than 30 solo albums.
Tickets go on sale Friday 20 May at 9am and will be available from www.waterfront.co.uk and www.ticketmaster.ie
