Halsey updates her health, reveals being diagnosed with various ailments.
Halsey revealed in a series of social media videos that they had recently been diagnosed with numerous illnesses.
After admitting they were “in and out” of the hospital for much of April, Halsey is giving followers an update on their health. “Obviously, my health has changed a lot since I got pregnant and gave birth,” the singer, who is the mother of 9-month-old boy Ender, said in Instagram Stories videos on Tuesday.
“I started getting really, really, really sick,” Halsey told Page Six. I was hospitalised a few times for anaphylaxis and had some other stuff going on.” They have Ehlers-Danlos disease, Sjogren’s syndrome, mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS), and postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, according to Halsey, who uses the pronouns “she/them” (POTS). According to Page Six, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome is a group of inherited illnesses that affect your connective tissues, primarily your skin, joints, and blood vessel walls, while Sjogren’s syndrome is an immune system condition marked by dry eyes and mouth.
“I’ve been looking for answers to the root cause of some of these things, which may be an autoimmune disease. And I know I’ve had autoimmune issues for most of my life, especially having endometriosis,” Halsey, 27, further explained. However, this comes after the musician attended the 2022 Grammys mere days after having endometriosis surgery last month. They left the ceremony early, though, since they weren’t “feeling super well.”
Meanwhile, Halsey reassured supporters, stating that the Love and Power Tour is still in rehearsals. The North American Love and Power tour, which was announced in January, takes out in Florida on May 17.
