Harry Styles recently spoke about his recently released album and his relationship with his One Direction bandmates.

In an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, the Grammy-winning singer revealed that he had a special bond of respect and love with the One Direction bandmates, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik – even after they disbanded after seven years.

The As It Was singer, 28, credited One Direction for all of his success after launching his solo career.

He stated, “I look at people who went through something similar to what we went through, but on their own. I’m thinking, I can’t imagine doing that.”

“I feel really lucky that we always had each other to be this unit that felt like you could keep each other in check and you could just have someone else who gets it,” the Watermelon Sugar singer said of their bond.

When asked about his current relationship with them, Styles stated, “If we did something together, we all have a lot of respect for each other. And that is something that cannot be reversed. And, you know, I think it’s a deep love for each other.”
