James Corden turned down a multi-million pound opportunity to headline ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden.’
James Corden, a British actor and television host, has announced his departure from The Late Late Show.
While the 43-year-old host announced his departure from the CBS late-night programme, it has been alleged that he was given a whopping £40 million for a multi-year deal to continue on the show.
Corden, who has hosted the popular late-night talk show since 2015, said last week that he had extended his contract for one year and will leave before the summer of 2023.
According to sources, Corden is the fourth presenter of the show and has been promised roughly £15 million to continue hosting it for another two years.
However, the comedian is said to have turned down a multi-year agreement at a ‘name your price’ to stay on the CBS chat programme.
According to a source, Corden refused the offer since he has already chosen to return home after seven years to spend more time with his family.
According to another source, “James aspires to create and direct films, and he enjoys going to the theatre. He is still in his early thirties. There is a lot more available.”
