Kailia Posey, star of Toddlers and Tiaras, died at age of 16 and police have launched an investigation

Following the death of Kailia Posey, star of Toddlers and Tiaras, Washington police have initiated an inquiry.

The teen died on Monday (May 2), at the age of 16, and her mother, Marcy Posey Gatterman, confirmed the news that no parent wants to hear.

“I don’t have words or any thoughts. A beautiful baby girl is gone,” Posey Gatterman said on Facebook.

“Please give us privacy as we mourn the loss of Kailia. My baby forever.”

Trooper Jacob Kennett of the Washington State Patrol (WSP) stated that the Toddlers & Tiaras actress died in Birch Bay State Park around 1.20 p.m.

According to news.com.au, the State Trooper claimed his team was summoned to assist the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office with a ‘juvenile death investigation.’

The cause of her death has not been revealed by the authorities or her family.

The medical examiner’s office in Whatcom County is presently investigating the circumstances surrounding her death.

Posey’s untimely death occurred just days after she attended her high school prom, with her mother tweeting images of her getting all dolled up for the big night.

According to social media messages from friends and family, she had just turned 16 on April 19.

Fans on social media have flooded Posey’s accounts to express their sadness and sympathies for the teen and her family.
