Karan Johar is accused by a Bollywood filmmaker for stealing the idea of film JugJugg Jeeyo
The upcoming film JugJugg Jeeyo by Indian filmmaker Karan Johar has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
It was first accused of plagiarism by musician Abrar Ul Haq, who claimed that the filmmaker plagiarised his song in the film. Now, another writer has claimed that the script and story are plagiarised.
On Twitter, writer Vishal A Singh alleged that the film’s plot was plagiarised from a concept he offered to Dharma Productions, Johar’s firm, two years ago in the hopes of collaborating.
He took to Twitter and claimed that he has not sold his song ‘Nach Punjaban’ to the makers of the movie and “producers like Karan Johar” should not copy songs.
AdvertisementHad registered a story.. #BunnyRani with @swaindiaorg in January 2020. I had officially mailed @DharmaMovies in February 2020 for an opportunity to co-produce with them. I even got a reply from them.
And they have taken my story.. and made #JugJuggJeeyo. Not fair @karanjohar.— Vishal A. Singh (@Vishal_FilmBuff) May 22, 2022
