Katy Perry reacts to ‘her comical tumble’ on American Idol in Mermaid costume

Katy Perry’s eccentric wardrobe choices on the red carpet and on television appearances have always gotten her a lot of attention on social media.

Interestingly, the Roar hitmaker had previously worn the Ariel mermaid costume for American Idol’s current Disney themed episode, which aired on Sunday.

Perry posted a video of her hilarious fall on Instagram, explaining that she wasn’t comfortable in her mermaid costume, which caused her to slip off the chair at the start of the show.

The host, Ryan Seacrest, was seen reacting in alarm after his introduction was cut short by a shattering bang in the reel.

Later, the camera moved to the crooner, who had fallen off her chair and needed assistance from her co-judges, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan.

The video of her fall went viral on social media, and not just fans but also the singer herself had a good chuckle over it.

“Flippin’ your fins you don’t get too far,” she captioned the photo.
