Kelly Clarkson discusses ‘teacher heroes’ amid homeschooling difficulties
Kelly Clarkson recently wore her heart on her sleeve and opened up about her struggles with her children’s home school and her admiration for her nanny and educators for navigating post-covid schooling.
These revelations were made by the singer in an interview with People magazine.
She began by describing the difficulties she has had with homeschooling since schools became virtual.
Clarkson even remembered thinking, “Dear God, I hope my nanny doesn’t quit.”
“I hope we never have to do it again,” she said, “because my kids are very creative, outgoing, and social, and did not want to be at home with an adult.”
“It was difficult, like [them] learning to read. I’ve always held teachers in the highest regard, but people who hadn’t given it much thought before had an eye-opening experience with how hard teachers work.”
“In interviews, I’d hear people in the industry say, ‘Oh my God, I’m trying to wrangle these two or three kids.’ However, imagine having 26 to 30, as a teacher does. It’s an extremely difficult job.”
