Lin-Manuel Miranda Serves Classic American Gentleman at Met Gala 2022

Lin-Manuel Miranda just strolled down the Met Gala 2022 red carpet in his best long-tailed ensemble. With all the over-the-top jazz befitting of fashion’s greatest night, the actor, writer, filmmaker, and all-around superb performer brought Hamilton style to life.

Miranda’s larger-than-life lapels cut a dramatic silhouette and whimsical take on typical American gentleman, and the subject is “In America: An Anthology of Fashion.” Paul Tazewell, the costume designer for Hamilton, created it. On the carpet, Rafa was joined by his wife Vanessa Nadal, who looked stunning in a brilliant fuschia gown.

Miranda is well-versed in American traditions. Hamilton, an immediate masterpiece, won 11 Tony Awards and set a new record for the most Tony nominations with 16. In 2016, it also won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The Broadway performance was videotaped and will be aired on Disney+ in 2020, but it is currently being performed on stages across the country.

Miranda, who is an official Met co-host, is still at the top of the charts with his latest single Encanto.

For five weeks, the Disney release remained at the top of the Billboard Hot 100, and it has now been on the list for 17 weeks.
