New charges have been filed against Dave Chappelle’s assailant

Isaiah Lee, Dave Chappelle’s alleged assailant, was slammed with fresh charges moments before the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office referred the case to city attorney Mike Feuer’s office.

According to reports, Feuer rushed to Twitter on Thursday afternoon to release a video condemning Lee’s invasion of the stage at the Netflix Is A Joke festival on Tuesday.

“What should have been an evening of laughing at the Hollywood Bowl this past Tuesday night was abruptly cut short when suspect Isaiah Lee reportedly came onto the stage and assaulted comic Dave Chappelle,” Feuer stated.

“The suspect was reportedly in possession of a weapon.” “This claimed attack had to have repercussions, and this afternoon, my office filed charges claiming violence, possession of a weapon with the purpose to assault, and interfering with a performance,” he explained.

“My office takes public safety very seriously, and we will actively pursue this case,” Feuer stated.
