On Bigg Boss 5, Andrew Symonds channelled his inner Sanjay Dutt

Andrew Symonds, an Australian cricketer who died in a vehicle accident recently, was a contestant on Bigg Boss 5. (2011). Andrew Symonds copied actor Sanjay Dutt’s character Munnabhai (Murliprasad Sharma) from Munna Bhai MBBS on the programme once. Sanjay’s role was performed by actor Akashdeep Saigal, and Circuit was played by Arshad Warsi. Their performance also included Juhi Parmar.

Akashdeep was seen teaching Andrew numerous phrases in a video posted on YouTube. After Akashdeep, Andrew repeated a sentence. “Juhi, dekh teri na apan ko halath samajh mein aareli hai. Juhi repeat after me ‘Mera naam Dewy hai’… Tereko jaadu ki jhappi deneka hai (I can understand your situation. Juhi repeat after me ‘My name is Dewy’…I want to give you a hug).” The duo hugged at the end of their act.

Amar Upadhyay was also spotted conducting similar things with Andrew. Shonali Nagrani and Sunny Leone were also spotted teaching him dance moves. The cricketer danced to Munna Bhai MBBS’ Dekh Le. Andrew was one of the reality show’s guest contestants.

Andrew died at the age of 46 in a single-vehicle car accident. His wife and two small children survive him. According to Queensland Police, the collision occurred on Saturday night near Hervey Range Road, roughly 50 kilometres outside of Townsville in northeast Australia.

News agency PTI reported quoting a statement, “Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash in Hervey Range, around 50 kilometres from Townsville that’s taken the life of a 46-year-old man last night. Early information indicates, shortly after 11 pm the car was being driven on Hervey Range Road, near Alice River Bridge when it left the roadway and rolled. Emergency services attempted to revive the 46-year-old driver and sole occupant, however, he died of his injuries.”
