In a new interview, BTS member Suga and singer PSY lavished each other with love and adoration, and fans haven’t stopped fawning since.

PSY recently published an interview on his YouTube channel in which he recounted how he looked up to the artist and was a tremendous admirer. He described working with PSY as being like working with a “old childhood buddy.”

The Gangnam Style hitmaker, on the other hand, praised BTS members RM, Jin, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, stating he has cheered for them.

“He (PSY) was always someone I was grateful for,” Suga remarked in the video. With Gangnam Style, he paved the road for K-pop in the United States, and we were able to easily follow in his footsteps. I’ve been a tremendous fan since I was a kid. I grew up hearing his songs.”

PSY stated, “I was second on Billboard’s Hot 100 for seven weeks straight.” I thought I’d be first with my next tune. But it never arrived, so I was disappointed. I wanted someone to come in first. BTS fulfilled my desire… Looking back on BTS’s accomplishment in 2017, I thought they would be happy and nervous at the same time.”

He went on to claim that he saw Suga’s Daechwita, which he described as “so raw, yet so modern.”

PSY stated of his collaboration with Suga, “I knew I wanted to work with him and hoped to do so in the near future if given the opportunity. Imagine my amazement when I received a text from him.”

Suga complimented him, adding, “PSY was not at all what I had imagined. He expressed a desire to be inspired by the younger generation. Working with him felt nothing like effort. It seemed like I was working with an old childhood buddy.”
