First images have been released from Winnie The Pooh: Blood And Honey, a horror film reimagining of the children’s teddy bear.

Winnie The Pooh: Blood And Honey, directed by Rhys Frake-Waterfield and starring Amber Doig-Thorne, Maria Taylor, Danielle Scott, Danielle Ronald, Chris Cordell, and Craig David Dowsett as Winnie himself, was discovered by Dread Central.

The film is billed as a “horror retelling of the famous legend of Winnie the Pooh” on its IMDB page. Later this year, it’s expected to be launched.

Pooh looks to be a slasher serial killer carrying a sledgehammer in the first photographs released by Jagged Edge Productions. There’s also a twisted reimagining of Piglet, as well as a shot with the words “get out” scribbled in blood across windows.

The first images are available to view below.

Winnie the Pooh was developed by A.A. Milne and E.H. Shepard in 1926 and entered the public domain at the beginning of this year, allowing anybody to utilise the character in creative works without violating copyright rules.

Nope, directed by Jordan Peele (Get Out, Us), and starring Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, and Steven Yeun, appears to be the next huge horror release. On July 22, 2022, the film is set to be released.

“Residents of an isolated town in California, amonng ranch owners James and Jill Haywood, witness a mysterious and abnormal event,” according to the film’s synopsis.

Halloween Ends, the final instalment in the modern Halloween trilogy, will also be released on October 14. Laurie Strode’s actress Jamie Lee Curtis released images from the sequel earlier this year.
