The Seventeen Going Under singer posted a snapshot from their meeting on Instagram with the caption “some major heroes,” which sparked outrage.
Fender said on his Story on Saturday, “I want to apologise. I was asked to meet a musical great and an actor who has been in nearly every film I’ve seen since I was a child.

“I went – we talked music, and I snapped a shot and uploaded it since it was quite bizarre,” he explained.
“I now see that my choice of words and time was terrible, but that’s unimportant.” It was ignorant and insulting to individuals who are affected by any of the concerns raised in the trial, as well as the wider issues raised. I didn’t thought it through as well as I should have.
