Amber Heard’s testimony did not ‘come across as believable’, trial juror
- Depp’s legal team gave her improper advice in the defamation case against Amber Heard.
- Amber Heard’s testimony did not ‘come across as believable’, says trial juror.
One of the reasons the actress’ evidence “didn’t come across as believable,” according to a juror in the defamation case between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard.
The anonymous juror told US TV show Good Morning America (GMA) that the Aquaman star’s legal team had given her improper advice.
A jury in Fairfax County, Virginia, deemed a 2018 piece Heard authored for the Washington Post on her experiences as a domestic abuse survivor to be slanderous just two weeks ago.
She said she didn’t blame the jury for labeling her and her former partner “Hollywood brats” in her first television interview, which aired in two parts on Tuesday and Wednesday, but said she had “no bad feelings or ill will” against Depp.

During his own testimony, the actor repeatedly disputed the “outrageous, ridiculous” allegations of assault, saying he had “spoken up for what I have been carrying on my back reluctantly for six years.”
The 59-year-old was granted damages of $10.35 million (£8.2 million).
Judge Penney Azcarate determined after the trial that the identities of the seven jurors would be kept hidden for at least a year.
Speaking about Heard’s testimony, the juror told GMA: “It seemed like she was able to flip the switch on her emotions.
“She would answer one question and she would be crying and two seconds later she would turn ice cold.
“It didn’t seem natural.”
