On her wedding day, the pop star and musical legend Madonna replicated their memorable moment from 2003, when the two divas kissed on stage.

According to Page Six, the two were photographed together at the reception reminiscing about their historic moment together when the bride, dressed to the nines in a red Versace gown, dropped a kiss on Madonna’s lips, who was also dressed to the nines in a multi-colored gown. For those unfamiliar, the two pop divas made history in 2003 when they locked lips after performing together on stage at the MTV Video Music Awards. Despite the fact that Madonna turned to the other side and leaned in to hit Christina Aguilera, who was also performing, the camera was all focused on Justin Timberlake, who had just split up with Spears.

Meanwhile, the ceremony itself had piqued people’s interest because the pair opted for a low-key affair. Despite the low-key party, Paris Hilton, Drew Barrymore, Selena Gomez, and Donatella Versace were all present to witness Spears’ joy.
