Britney Spears’ ex charged for stalking her at her wedding with Sam Asghari

• Jason Alexander was briefly married to Britney Spears in 2004.
• The couple wed for less than three days before the charges were dropped.
• A judge ordered him to stay at least 100 yards away from Spears for the next three years.

After showing up to Britney Spears’ wedding to longtime lover Sam Asghari, a guy who was once briefly married to her was charged with criminal stalking on Monday.

Jason Alexander, 40, pled not guilty to the allegation, as well as misdemeanor counts of trespassing, vandalism, and violence, in Ventura County court.

Alexander was still incarcerated and appeared in court by video conference. A judge set his bond at $100,000 and ordered him to stay at least 100 yards away from Spears for the next three years.

Spears’ first husband was Alexander. In 2004, the couple married for less than three days before having their case dropped.

Spears, 40, married Asghari, 28, on Thursday at her Thousand Oaks, California, home in front of a large crowd that included Selena Gomez, Drew Barrymore, Paris Hilton, and Madonna.

Alexander, Spears’ childhood pal, was live-streaming on Instagram as he approached the house. He entered a relatively empty but well-decorated room and informed security that Spears had invited him.

He was held by deputies responding to a trespassing call, and he was arrested after they discovered he had a warrant out of another county, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office.

Alexander’s bail will be reviewed at a hearing scheduled for Wednesday. An email seeking comment from his public defender Matthew Terry was not immediately returned.
