Christy Carlson Romano Reveals Her Real-Life Disney Channel “Crush”

Christy Carlson Romano unveils in the interview on June 7, “I dated my DCOM crush actually,” added, “My DCOM crush was Shawn Ashmore.”

After acting together in the Disney Channel film Cadet Kelly in 2002, Christy, 38, says she “went on a few dates” with the actor, but the relationship stopped there.

She further added, “It was nothing serious and he was a true gentleman,” adding, “he’s a very nice guy.”

While Christy and Shawn, 42, did not marry, she met and fell in love with writer-producer Brendan Rooney while at Barnard College. The couple married in 2013 and now have two kids, Isabella, seven, and Sophia, three.

Fans of the animated action comedy-adventure, which starred a young girl entrusted with combatting criminals, have demanded a revival to this day. Christy was questioned about a fan who wrote that Kim Possible should have lasted “far more than four seasons” during her interview, to which she chuckled and replied, “We know this.”
