Gerard Pique’s social media following are dwindling as a result of his divorce from Shakira

Gerard Pique’s breakup with Shakira appears to have impacted his social media appeal.

The Barcelona star has lost up to five million Instagram followers in recent days as his 11-year romance with the Colombian singer comes to an end.

According to a Culemanian poll, 63.3 percent of supporters believe Pique should leave the club, while 17.1 percent believe he should continue to play for the club.

On the other hand, the Waka Waka hitmaker acquired 300,000 new followers to her Instagram account per day.

Shakira’s career appears to be on the upswing with the publication of her single Te Felicito, which has already surpassed 100 million views.

“I just learned from my team that the “Te Felicito” video blew through 100 million views yesterday!” the singer posted on her Instagram account.
