Harrison Wagner’s parents said according to the website, “Harrison was a bright, exuberant young man whose smile lit up any room he was in,” added, “He has left behind many men and family members who loved him deeply.”

The message  went on, “We are heartbroken that he ultimately lost his battle with addiction and we hope that Harrison’s memory will live on through this scholarship and will help other young men get help for their addiction that would not otherwise be able to afford it.”

The award was established less than a week after Harrison was discovered dead in a Los Angeles neighbourhood parking lot on June 6. The cause of death for the 27-year-old has yet to be confirmed, and the case has been postponed for further investigation.

Harrison is the youngest son of Jack and Kristina, who co-starred on the renowned daytime television serial General Hospital in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The couple, who divorced in 2006, had a son named Peter Wagner, who is 31 years old.

Harrison’s brother published a compilation of throwback images of the brothers over the years on Instagram on June 8. “Always with you,” Peter captioned his image.

Harrison’s girlfriend, Sophia Bui, sent a “love letter” to her “on and off” companion of seven years on Instagram the same day.

She went on to say, “I’m so broken hearted. We had plans this Friday and you called to apologize,” she wrote. “Seven years, on and off, round and round we loved each other. For better or for worse. In sickness and in health.”

Sophia added, “I was never alone in this world with you,” added, “You were the balm that soothed my soul. You were my guy. I hope I was that comfort for you. I will always be [your] babe. I will always choose to love you in this world and in any other life.”
