Netflix announced at their Geeked Week event that Old Guard 2 would include Henry Golding and Uma Thurman in roles that have yet to be revealed.

Thurman played The Bride in the Kill Bill films, and Poison Ivy in Batman & Robin was incredibly campy as heck. And Golding portrayed Snake Eyes in last year’s surprisingly decent GI Joe film, in which he showed himself to be a capable physical performer. It’s probable that Golding will have some action moments, and Thurman will get a chance to prove that she’s still got it.

Charlize Theron, Kiki Layne, and the rest of the original ensemble will return for The Old Guard 2, featuring Veronica Ngo as Andy’s (Theron) fellow eternal BFF Quynh.

While Greg Rucka, who co-wrote the original graphic books with Leandro Fernández, will return to write the sequel’s script, Gina Prince-Bythewood, the film’s original director, will not. Victoria Mahoney will take over as director, with Prince-Bythewood remaining as a producer.

We still don’t know when The Old Guard 2 will be released. But until we have a teaser or poster to obsess over, let Golding and Thurman’s involvement tide you over and feed your speculative brain.
