Jennifer Lopez apparently made some ‘diva demands’ when she appeared on the British television show Top of the Pops in the late ’90s.

J.Lo “refused to perform” until her dressing room was fully redecorated, according to fellow pop diva Dannii Minogue, who made the accusation on her podcast.

The Australian singer, 50, said that the 52-year-old Jenny from the Block star insisted that “everything had to be white” in order for her to perform.

‘And while you hear those diva stories, there is one I can actually vouch for,’ she said on The 90s with Dannii Minogue.

‘I was at Top of the Pops and was told Jennifer Lopez was on her way, but she refused to perform unless her backstage room was redecorated.’

‘I was told everything had to be white, including the sofa. I asked to go in and see the room as she wasn’t there in that moment… I was lapping up every detail,’ Dannii added with a laugh.

Because performers frequently apply body makeup, Dannii claimed she didn’t understand why Jennifer would prefer an all-white room.

‘All I could think was, “Girlfriend is covered head to toe in body makeup. How do you sit on a white couch?”‘

Jennifer recently celebrated the debut of her new Netflix documentary Halftime. Jennifer is well known for her classics Love Don’t Cost a Thing and On the Floor.

The singer-turned-actress muses on her career and how she almost gave up when the pressure to maintain her curvy form got to be too much in Halftime.

‘There were many times where I was just like, “I think I’m just going to quit,”‘ she says.

‘I had to really figure out who I was. And believe in that and not believe in anything else.’

When J.Lo first appeared on the scene in 1997, her voluptuous body type was a rarity.

‘When I started working, the beauty ideal was very thin, blonde, tall, not a lot of curves,’ she says.

‘I grew up around women with curves so it was nothing I was ever ashamed of. It was hard, when you think people think you’re a joke — like a punchline.’

‘But it wound up affecting things in a way that I never intended,’ she says, adding that her then-fiancé Ben Affleck was surprised at the criticism.
