Johnny Depp chose a lawyer from a movie for his defamation trial against Amber Heard

• Johnny Depp recruited Kathleen Zellner as an adviser for his case from a Netflix show

• And Left a call and a voicemail saying that she would be the last person someone would hire if they were guilty because she has the capability of finding it about it

Kathleen Zellner said that after viewing her on the show Making a Murderer, Johnny Depp recruited her as a legal adviser for his defamation trial against Amber Heard.

American lawyer Zellner, who appears in the Netflix programme, explained to Law & Crime how Deep engaged her as a legal consultant.

She said the Hollywood actor had seen her in Making a Murderer, adding that Depp called her and left a voicemail at her office at the end of December, saying that she “would be the last person someone would hire if they were guilty, because you would find out about it.”

“I was struck that’s what motivated him to contact me,” Ms Zellner added.

After Depp’ victory in his defamation suit against Amber heard she tweeted: Johnny Depp is innocent—no doubt about it.
