Mom-to-be Alia Bhatt has replied to rumours of a delay in her Hollywood debut, declaring ‘I’m Not a Parcel’ and does not require rest.

On the day she revealed her pregnancy with husband Ranbir Kapoor, the Highway actress thanked her followers on social media for their well wishes.

However, it was later revealed that the actress will postpone her upcoming film Heart of Stone owing to her pregnancy.

To address such rumours, Alia posted a letter on Instagram in which she promised everyone that her work will not be affected by her pregnancy.

She revealed that she is presently filming after announcing her pregnancy on Instagram on Monday, June 27.

Alia posted a story on Instagram, “Meanwhile we live in some people’s heads we also live in some patriarchal world. Nothing has got delayed, No one needs to pick anyone up. I am a woman, not a parcel. I do not need to rest at all but good to know you’ll have a doctor’s certification. This is 2002. Can we please get out of this archake way of thinking. Now if you would excuse me, my shot is ready .”

Earlier in the day, she posted an unseen photo of herself with Ranbir on her Instagram account, thanking her fans for their well wishes.
