Sam Asghari, Britney Spears’ fiancé talks about the couple’s miscarriage

Sam Asghari has spoken out about the loss that pop singer and fiancée Britney Spears had in May, as well as how it has influenced his emotions about parenting in the future.

In an interview with GQ, the personal trainer and aspiring actor described parenthood as “the joy of my life,” and when asked about how their announcement normalised the discussion of miscarriages, he claimed it was “positive.”

He added, “We’re positive about it. It’s something that happens to a lot of people,”  admitting that having a child is the couple’s “next step” and that he “wants to be a young father.”

Asghari went on to say that one message in particular has given him hope for parenthood, “One beautiful thing that I heard was when the baby’s ready, it’ll come.”

He remarked  “So that was a beautiful thing somebody had said was, it’s a common process and the female body is just so amazing, and just the human body, in general, is so beautiful that it heals itself. And that when the baby’s ready it’ll be the right time.”

He also discussed how he proposed to Spears, revealing that he bought her a princess cut diamond “for a real-life princess” out of respect for her taste, as “she wouldn’t want something super big and super celebrity.” Asghari also announced that the couple has picked a date for their wedding.

He stated he intended to seek the consent of her children and relatives before proposing at their house, a place where they could retain privacy, under the premise of purchasing Spears a dog, but he didn’t. “But that’s only for our eyes,” says the narrator of a video.

He remarked of his idea, “I didn’t tell anybody to be honest with you,” added, “I didn’t want anybody to know and anybody to interfere in any way whatsoever, so it was between me and her.”
