Shae Gill, the singer of ‘Pasoori,’ responds to haters who shame her for mourning the loss of Sidhu Moose Wala
Pakistani musician Shae Gill responded to online trolls who shamed her for praying for late singer Sidhu Moose Wala following his untimely demise.
The Pasoori hitmaker revealed the news of the singer’s death on her Instagram stories, writing, “I’m heartbroken. May his spirit rest in peace, and may his family and friends be able to handle this loss with courage.”
Following that, Gill began receiving reaction from netizens in her DMs, advising her not to pray for a non-muslim.
“As a Muslim, you are not permitted to offer dua for non-Muslims when they die,” she was told.
In response, the singer stated, “I’ve been getting a lot of similar texts.” I just wanted to let everyone know that I am not a Muslim.”
“I am a Christian, I come from a Christian background, and I can pray for individuals of all faiths,” Gill continued.
She subsequently tweeted another tale in which a fan expressed her gratitude and reminded her that it is OK to pray for non-Muslims, to which Gill responded, “Mostly getting similar comments now and it’s lovely.”
“I honestly wouldn’t have announced it like way,” the singer said, “but I grew tired of people thinking they could police me by that standard.”
The trolls did not stop attacking her after she shared another message about a man who cursed at her, but Gill had the right retort for him.
“And if you continue to send me texts like this, you will be banned.” And, sure, I check messages whenever I have time,” she stated in her previous article.
