— Johnny Depp’s attorneys claim social media “had no influence” in Amber Heard’s verdict.
— “The jury made this conclusion based on the facts given by both parties.”
– Chew believes there is “no cause to suspect the jurors breached their oath.”
– He was dismayed to learn that Heard’s counsel, Elaine Bredehoft, had asserted differently.
In response to the Aquaman star’s accusations, Depp’s attorneys stated that it was Amber Heard’s own remarks that influenced the jury’s decision.
#MeToo
When asked how they felt the case would affect the #MeToo movement, Vasquez stated that she did not believe it would have a negative impact, stating that “domestic abuse has no gender.”
– “We urge any victim to come forward… We feel that the verdict speaks for itself; the facts were as they were, and the jury reached a unanimous conclusion based on them.” dict.
Why did the jury not believe Amber Heard’s claims?
“We concentrated on exploiting her statements against her throughout the cross-examination. It was critical to us that any questions posed were related to what she had already expressed. And the jury saw, and the world heard, from Ms Heard in that connection on every single issue.”
Ben went on: “There was a noticeable difference. Johnny took charge of many things. And it appeared at times that [Amber] had an explanation for everything and refused to accept responsibility for anything. And I believe it made a difference.”

Depp’s reaction to the overwhelming victory
— “It was an emotional experience. We were overjoyed for him. It was a wonderful moment, the teary-eyed attorney stated.”

UK libel Suit
The lawyer also provided insight into the UK libel claim and indicated why Mr. Depp was able to win in the US.
— “They had distinct disclosure obligations…and the overwhelming evidence provided in this case in Virginia significantly outweighed the evidence given in the UK.” And we feel the jury was correct.”
Johnny Depp sued his ex-wife for $50 million (£40 million) for a 2018 op-ed piece in The Washington Post in which she claimed to be a survivor of domestic violence.
On June 1, the jury found in Depp’s favour and awarded him $15 million (£12 million) in damages. Heard intends to file an appeal against the judgement.
