Charles Siebert, the stage-trained actor who played the snobbish Dr. Stanley Riverside II on the CBS drama Trapper John, M.D. for seven seasons, has died. He was 84 years old when he died.
On the big screen, Siebert appeared in films including The Other Side of Midnight (1977), Blue Sunshine (1977), Coma (1978), and Norman Jewison’s… And Justice for All (1979), All Night Long (1981), White Water Summer (1987), and Eight Men Out (1989) are among the films he has directed (1988).

On March 9, 1938, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Charles Alan Siebert was born. He studied acting at Marquette University and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art under the famed Father John J. Walsh, before joining the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco in 1965 as a founding member alongside Richard Dysart, Michael Learned, and others.
Meanwhile, he was filling in on daytime dramas like Search for Tomorrow, As the World Turns, and Another World to make ends meet. In the mid-1970s, he moved to Los Angeles.

In 1987, Siebert was hired as Hayley Mills’ husband on the NBC pilot Good Morning, Miss Bliss; however, his character was cut when the show was taken up by the Disney Channel and became Saved by the Bell.
