Former couple Shakira, Gerard Pique continue fight over kids’ custody

Shakira and her ex-partner Gerard Pique have turned the case on to two legal teams in an effort to resolve the children’s custody dispute.

According to Spanish media site Marca, the Waka Waka hitmaker wants to take her children Milan and Sasha to Miami while the player has been granted visiting privileges.

The athlete, however, is determined to keep the kids in Barcelona since he does not want them to be placed in a new environment after just suffering through their parents’ divorce.

According to the Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia, the attorneys for Shakira and Pique are now attempting to reach a compromise that will be acceptable to both parties.

Shakira publicly announced earlier this month that she and the Barcelona star had broken up.

The message said, “We regret to confirm that we are parting.” “We ask that you respect our children’s privacy because it is our top responsibility to ensure their well-being,”

EsDiario also alleged that the couple split up for money, citing the ex-boyfriend of one of Shakira’s sisters who said that the singer had refused to give Pique any cash.

According to Roberto Garcia, Shakira’s family allegedly refused to provide Piqué the money he requested from them for an investment matter. “They preserve the family economy at 50% and don’t mingle their money.”
