“Matilda The Musical” set to open at the 66th BFI London Film Festival

As per media, the 66th BFI London Film Festival, which will take place from October 5 to October 16, will open with “Matilda the Musical,” based on the same-named Roald Dahl novel.

According to the media, the original music and lyrics were written by Tim Minchin, and screenwriter Dennis Kelly adapted the Tony and Olivier Award-winning Royal Shakespeare Company play for the big screen.

The film is produced by Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner for Working Title and Jon Finn and Luke Kelly of The Roald Dahl Story Company. Matthew Warchus, who has won a Tony Award, is in charge of directing the movie. He also created and directed the stage show in London’s West End and on Broadway.
