Ms. Marvel: Rish Shah supports Kamran’s intentions

Ms. Marvel has a critically successful first season, Rish Shah wants to make it clear that Kamala Khan’s ClanDestine crush, Kamran, always had the best of intentions.

When it’s revealed at the end of episode two and the start of episode three of the Disney+ series that Kamran is part of an exiled group of creatures from another dimension, it’s totally natural to doubt Kamran’s previous meetings with Kamala, but Shah never had any doubts about it because he always made it seem like Kamran’s feelings for Kamala were real.

“As far as I’m aware, he was never duping her. He was never trying to play Kamala. And prior to some of the changes that were made later on in the script and during the reshoots… … [his sincerity] was probably a bit clearer. But in my mind, that was always the case, “Shah said.

Shah is also defending Kamran’s risky display of newly gained superpowers in the season finale, “No Normal,” since the 17-year-old hasn’t had time to process what’s going on with him.

Ms. Marvel star Shah also discussed the strange method he learned about Spider-Man: No Way Home’s biggest secret, which involved the collaboration of all three live-action Spider-Man actors, in a recent spoiler talk with the media.
