The last episode of RK Tapes, which features the actor discussing Bollywood villains, was released earlier today. In the video, Ranbir discusses his love for Hindi films’ bad boys, the imposing villains who enlarge the hero. He also listed his favorite on-screen antagonists, including Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji in Padmaavat, Amrish Puri as Mogambo in Mr. India, and the legendary Amjad Khan as Gabbar Singh in Sholay. Shah Rukh Khan’s part in Darr, in his opinion, is the “most iconic.” Ranbir added that Sanjay Dutt is the pinnacle of Khalnayak and one of the modern era’s best villains. He is portraying a villain in Shamshera as well, and I would have loved to play that part.
He continued by saying that it is his ambition to have a bad influence on his career. He jokingly remarked that he wants people to tell their children, “soja beta warna Ranbir aajayega,” after he plays a villain. The performer said, “As the cinema is evolving, the characters of the villains are also becoming interesting and complex. I am looking forward to the bad guys we are yet to watch, to the actors who scare us out of our seats, and to the villains who redefined evil.“
