Police said on Saturday that a judge had issued the order against Martin, but attempts to serve the document on the celebrity in his hometown of Dorado, Puerto Rico, were unsuccessful.

Police spokesperson Axel Valencia said he was unable to disclose any other information, including who submitted the order, despite the fact that it was made in accordance with Puerto Rico’s domestic violence law.

According to Martin’s representatives, the accusations are “completely false and fabricated,” according to a report in People magazine. The representatives’ names were not given.

“We are very confident that when the true facts come out in this matter our client Ricky Martin will be fully vindicated,” they told the magazine.

According to the order, Martin and the other individual dated for seven months, according to El Vocero, a newspaper in Puerto Rico.

According to the ruling, they split up two months ago, but according to the petitioner, Martin did not accept the split and had been spotted at least three times loitering close to the petitioner’s home.

“The petitioner fears for his safety,” El Vocero quoted the order as saying.
