Amber Heard’s former lawyer reacts as she hires new attorneys for Johnny Depp’s appeal

Amber Heard former lawyer, has reacted for the first time since the Aquaman actress hired a new legal team to represent her in her defamation case against Johnny Depp.

Elaine Bredehoft, who is stepping down after Heard picked David Axelrod and Jay Ward Brown to lead the appeals team, has said, “This is the perfect time to pass the baton.”

Bredehoft further said, “I have pledged to Amber and her appellate team my complete cooperation and assistance as they move forward on a path towards success.”

According to a magazine Amber’s legal team will be led by attorney Ben Rottenborn, who previously worked with Bredehoft.

Meanwhile, Johnny Depp will be represented by Camille Vasquez, an attorney who became an internet sensation during the defamation trial and won the hearts of Pirates of the Caribbean fans.

Earlier, Amber Heard made a “smart move” by hiring new lawyers after filing a motion to appeal the verdict of the highly publicised defamation case against ex-husband Johnny Depp, legal experts believe.

The Aquaman actor sacked her lawyer, Elaine Bredehoft, and replaced her with David L. Axelrod and Jay Ward Brown of Ballard Spahr.

According to Eric D. Subin, a senior trial attorney and partner at Subin Associates, the huge move may assist the actor secure a court victory, giving her the opportunity to fight the case again.
