The most expensive movie to come out of Pakistan is The Legend of Maula Jatt. This powerful and epic hero origin narrative is a hard reboot of the 1979 cult film Maula Jatt, with a script by Bilal Lashari and lines by Nasir Adeeb. The movie is produced by Ammara Hikmat under the joint venture of Encyclomedia & Lashari films in partnership with AAA Motion Pictures, with Lashari serving as both producer and director. Lashari is well known for his directorial debut, the box office smash Waar.

The film, which was first announced in 2011, has faced numerous obstacles. The Legend of Maula Jatt constantly getting delayed, whether it was due to a protracted legal dispute or a pandemic. Fans and critics are now hoping that the movie will eventually be released on October 13 of this year, as it was just announced.
