Jiah Khan mother Rabia Khan revealed Police
Jiah Khan mother Rabia Khan told the special court that Police and CBI never collected evidence to prove suicide.
After his name came out in the Jiah Khan case, Sooraj Pancholi gained media attention. He made headlines once more yesterday as Jiah’s mother Rabia Khan testified in court that her daughter wanted to break up with actor Sooraj because of physical and psychological abuse.
Rabia brought up Sooraj during the court proceeding and charged him with aiding in suicide. According to other reports from today, Rabia claimed before the special court that neither the police nor the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had gathered any “legal evidence” to support her daughter’s suicide.
She also stated before the court that she thought it was a murder case rather than a suicide.
Rabia Khan, the mother of Jiah Khan, continued to record her deposition before special judge A S Sayyad on Thursday. Rabia described how she discovered her daughter hanging with a dupatta over her neck.
After a 10-minute wait, she summoned the actor Anju Mahendroo, who immediately arrived, untied her neck, and lay her on the bed. The moment the doctor got there, he pronounced her dead. Rabia even claimed that an officer had examined the crime site and declared that it appeared that foul play had taken place.
Later, Rabia Khan recalled that Jiah Khan’s things, including her phone, had been removed by the police. She admitted that she had received multiple angry and abusive messages from Sooraj Pancholi, as well as missed calls from him.
When they arrived at the police station, Jiah’s phone had already been unlocked, despite the fact that the police had called her other daughter to unlock Jiah’s phone. She added that her phone had lost a lot of images and messages.
Rabia Khan said Jiah’s body was initially taken to Cooper hospital for post-mortem and later shifted to the J J Hospital. “Within two hours of the passing away of my daughter, they had already declared it as a suicide. I suspect that the movement of her body from Cooper Hospital to J J Hospital was done with mala fide intention,” she alleged.
She also told the court that a few days after her daughter’s death, they found a note written by her in her bedroom. After reading the letter, the family came to know about the “pain and grievances borne by Jiah, which pointed towards Suraj Pancholi”. After her testimony got over, special public prosecutor (CBI) Manoj Chandlan asked Rabia Khan whether she wanted to add anything further. She then said, “Both the agencies (police and CBI) never collected any legal evidence to prove it was a case of suicide. I believe it is a murder and the accused is responsible for killing my daughter.
