Josh Gad declares that “Wolf Like Me” Season 2 filming is over
Josh Gad, the series’ actor, recently revealed that filming on Season 2 of Peacock’s Wolf Like Me has finally come to an end.
Gad announced the announcement on Instagram and included many pictures of him with various cast and crew members to give followers a peek behind-the-scenes.
The photos feature both starring actresses, Isla Fisher and Ariel Joy Donoghue, as well as co-star Anthony Taufa posing both on site and off, most likely in Adelaide, Australia.
In between shoots, Abe Forsythe (Little Monsters), the series’ creator, is seen putting everything together while wearing his COVID safety mask.
Gad teases future characters we may expect to see this time around mixed in with the personalities and themes we’ve already grown to love in his caption, mentioning that the upcoming season would have numerous more “great cast additions.”
Gad praised Forsythe and promised viewers a “wild journey” in the upcoming instalment of the filmmaker and series creator’s work. Executive producers Jodi Matterson and Bruna Papandrea as well as producer Made Up Stories were recognized.
The dark, gory comedy’s first season featured the life of Gary, a widower (Gad). Gary unexpectedly develops a strong bond with Mary while still grieving the death of his wife and only beginning to adjust to life as a single father (Fisher).
Although dating Mary seems like a great idea at first, there is a much bigger catch: she is a werewolf. Gary’s world, as well as that of his daughter Emma (Donoghue), is entirely turned upside down after learning Mary’s secret.
When the trio embarks on a voyage deep into the Australian outback that goes more than a little awry, the first season of the series comes to a horrifically brutal finale.
The audience is left wondering what Season 2 will hold for the relationships of the key characters when Emma learns Mary’s truth.
The last time we heard anything new about the show was back in late April, when it was revealed that Peacock had indeed renewed it for a second season, which would presumably mean further filming in the stunning country of Australia.
We’re excited to see what stories Forsythe will tell under the moonlight this time around after Season 1’s numerous comparisons between real life and the supernatural beast storyline.
See Gad’s article and the Wolf Like Me Season 1 trailer below, which you can watch on Peacock to catch up. Although a release date for Season 2 has not yet been determined, it appears that Gad intends to notify fans via his Instagram account.
