Leslie Jordan never had the chance to compete on Dancing with the Stars before he passed away, something Derek Hough regrets.

The professional dancer, 37, voiced his sorrow for the late artist, who passed away in a vehicle accident on Monday at the age of 67, after learning of a fan petition to have Jordan perform on DWTS.

“His character was enormous, regal, and happy. My heart is literally breaking right now, “Extra,” he said. We would have [had him on the show] if I had known that, I wish.

He went on, “I like to reach out and look for ways to include those people whenever I hear about them applying to be on the show. That I wasn’t able to do that hurts my heart.”

TMZ was the first to announce that Jordan passed away in an automobile accident in Hollywood, California, following an apparent medical emergency. According to the LAPD, the collision happened on Monday morning at 9:30 a.m. local time.

On Monday afternoon, his passing was also announced on his official Instagram, where a brief note revealed how Jordan was still producing content in his final days.

We will be revealing a sneak peek at a project Leslie was extremely proud of and eager to share with the public in the upcoming days.

Hough expressed his sorrow for Jordan’s passing and revealed in his interview that Michael Bublé, a DWTS guest judge, would play at his forthcoming nuptials to Hayley Erbert.

The television personality added of the Grammy-winning singer, “I pinch myself often, thinking, like, ‘How am I good friends with this man?'” “I’m a huge fan… a hero who is simply a good man, an inspiration, and a terrific role model.”

Hough revealed at the 4th Annual Critics’ Choice Real TV Awards, “I’m not going to name names right now, but I’ve already invited a couple people to perform at the wedding and they’ve already committed. So it will be a full-on festival, and I’m looking forward to it.
