Basil loves Indian superhero films and Shaktimaan. The filmmaker wants to join Shaktimaan after meeting the crew several times. A source close to the development said, “The producers have asked Basil to come up with his own version of the screenplay to know if he is on the same wavelength as the team on the visual and story-telling front.” Once the first draught is locked to the team’s standards, the paperwork and other aspects will happen.

“Shaktimaan has the potential to alter Hindi Cinema, hence the team is being very cautious with their director pick. The objective is to reintroduce the superhero to modern audiences after Mukesh Khanna made him famous. “They have been talking to various top directors and as of now, Basil Joseph is the front runner to be at the helm of affairs, since all the talks have met with a favourable response,” the insider stated.
