The fifth season of the popular British drama series ‘The Crown’ will soon be available on Netflix.

The trailer for the royal series, which centres on the contemporary British royal family, was released recently.

Although there has never been more interest in the new series, it is also navigating some of its most difficult waters. Queen Elizabeth II’s passing and speculation about how the upcoming season will portray Princess Diana’s final years have sparked interest in the show.

However, there has been pushback. After these trying weeks, Netflix has chosen to include a disclaimer in its most recent The Crown trailer.

Netflix has added the following disclaimer in the YouTube description under the video for the trailer in an effort to calm the turbulent waters around the fifth season.

This fictional dramatization covers the story of Queen Elizabeth II and the political and private events that influenced her reign, according to the statement, which was “inspired by real events.”

However, it’s crucial to note that prior press releases for the series contained language that was similar to this disclaimer but none of the previous trailers for the show did.

It appears to be a reaction to the recent occasions connected to the new season. King Charles III, the new British monarch, is a prominent character in the new season.

The portrayal of him in the new season may affect how some viewers regard him.

The aforementioned trailer launches right into a royal family in peril. According to reports, it would primarily focus on Diana, Princess of Wales (Elizabeth Debicki), and depict the dissolution of her marriage to Prince Charles (Dominic West) and the ensuing divorce.

Although Prasanna Puwanarajah’s portrayal of the Princess’s conversation with Martin Bashir has received criticism, Netflix continues to support the show’s fifth season.

According to a Netflix spokesman, “The Crown has always been portrayed as a drama based on historical events.” “Series five is a fictitious dramatization that speculates about what may have transpired behind closed doors during a significant decade for the royal family — one that has already been closely examined and widely documented by journalists, biographers, and historians.”

Many people have criticized The Crown and its most recent season, including Oscar-winning actress Dame Judi. Netflix “seems eager to cross the borders between historical accuracy and vulgar sensationalism,” according to the British actress who is also close to the King and Queen Consort.

Former prime minister Sir John Major and former culture secretary Oliver Dowden are among those who have attacked the series.

Debicki, West, and Puwanarajah are joined by Imelda Staunton, Jonathan Pryce, Lesley Manville, Claudia Harrison, Camilla Parker Bowles, Jonny Lee Miller, Mohamed Al Fayed, and Dodi Fayed in Season 5 of The Crown. Other notable actors include Lesley Manville, Claudia Harrison, Jonathan Pryce, and John Major.

The Crown’s fifth season debuts on Netflix on November 9. the trailer is below:
