The Viscountess has arrived finally, and it appears that this time will be a little different. Lady Kate Bridgerton herself, Simone Ashley, spoke with Vogue about how Season 3 of the historical drama Bridgerton would show viewers an entirely different side of Kate as her character assumes her new place in society.

Ashley talked about Kate’s numerous vulnerabilities as Season 3 gets underway. She explained how a character who appears to be bold and confident will actually be vulnerable “even though she comes across as fierce, people like that are sometimes the softest on the inside. They develop that skin because they’re vulnerable. You see her insecurities and fears. She’s fucking nervous, and I think there’s strength in admitting that.”

Ashley, recognised for her breakthrough performance as Olivia Hanan in Sex Education, completely changed the show when she showed up in Season 2 to scold Anthony Bridgerton before winning his heart (Jonathan Bailey).

Season 2 changed the focus to Anthony and included Kate, who first started as a rival before things turned more loving.

Season 1 focused on the oldest Bridgerton daughter, Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor), while Season 2 shifted the attention to Anthony.

The third season of the programme will centre on the relationship between Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan). Lukas Newton Even if it is the main focus, there should be plenty in the Season to keep “Kanthony” fans satisfied.

The Julia Quinn bestselling book series of the same name is the inspiration for the movie Bridgerton. Executive producers for the show are Betsy Beers, Chris Van Dusen, and Julie Anne Robinson; Dusen also created it.

On Christmas Day 2020, it made its Netflix debut, and the programme was immediately successful.

It was announced in April 2021 that it had been renewed for a fourth season. When Season 2 debuted in March 2022, it was well received by viewers, especially those who enjoyed the chemistry between Kate and Anthony.

In Season 3, it’ll try to capitalize on the hot momentum.
