The Crown is being called “less focused” and “less disciplined” just days before it comes out.

Daniel D’Addario took a shot at the Netflix show by calling it “its weakest outing yet.”

He kept going: “A generally scattered and unfocused show is less disciplined than ever.”

Mr. D’Addario said the following about the Queen’s Annus horribilis Christmas broadcast: “The real speech is online.” No such grateful mention of her family, in those terms or any other, exists.

“This is not unethical, exactly; The Crown is not a fact and does not present itself as such; but it’s an overreach that gives the game away.”

The actress who plays Princess Diana, Elizabeth Debicki, said: “Clarly fictional.” I feel like audiences know that because there are actors playing parts.
