CT Tamburello files for divorce from wife Lilianet Solares

Chris “CT” Tamburello has requested a divorce from Lilianet “Lili” Solares, after four years of marriage.

It  is able to report that on Monday, November 7, The Challenge star, 42, filed a motion to dissolve their marriage in Florida. In his filing, Tamburello stated that their relationship is “irretrievably ruined.”

The couple got married, two years after having son Christopher Jr., first reported in September 2018.

The nine-time champion previously told, “One of the things I love about Lili is she doesn’t want the attention, it’s just about me and her.”

“I appreciate that because I’ve been doing this for so long I have a different appreciation for privacy. Her and CJ, they’re like my sanctuary in my own little world.”

He added: “But moving forward, I’m so proud of these times of my life I want to share them with everybody. And Lili wants to come out of hiding, too.”

As their son, now 6 years old, prepared to participate in The Challenge: Double Agents, Tamburello and Solares, 30, continued raising him. However, their relationship hit a snag.

“I wasn’t in the finest of mental shape the last few seasons. In a December 2020 episode, the New Yorker admitted that his marriage was not going well. “We’re separated, and I feel like I’ve been running from problems for a long time. I feel like they finally caught up with me. I couldn’t lie to myself anymore.”

Tamburello acknowledged at the time that he was prepared to return to The Challenge and that he was “focused on myself” and “getting my head right” without going into further detail about the reason for their breakup.

The MTV star and Solares eventually made up once the filming was finished, but their relationship status was once again in the news early this year.

“Hey guys, quick PSA about my post from last night, I love my wife, we’re not breaking up. I’m sorry if I misled some of you into believing that we were breaking up, that was not my intention,” he wrote in the caption of a January Instagram post, alluding to a mysterious video he had posted earlier that day and which featured Halsey’s “Without Me” breakup song.

“I’m away filming and we were in between scenes, I was listening to some music and I like that song, I like that remix, so I figured I’d post it why now and didn’t think anything of it.”

Tamburello and Solares have not spoken further about their divorce or child custody arrangement.
