Prince William and Queen Elizabeth
The moving letter written by Queen Elizabeth II to her grandson Prince William has resurfaced, leaving people in awe of the late monarch’s remarks to the future Prince of Wales.
Prince William, the heir apparent after his father, the new King Charles III, has always maintained a particular place in the heart of his grandmother.
The late Queen’s letter read: “William, I hope you enjoy opening this each day, Granny,” in reference to an advent calendar.
The memo, which was addressed by the late monarch to her grandson 25 years ago, was praised by royal admirers.
Twitter user @lovefamilywales said: “Aw I have never seen this! They had such a lovely relationship.”
Another user, @balseimar, stated: “Aawww how lovely. Beautiful, precious memory to treasure.”
RR Auction in Boston auctioned off the note in 2016 after a former employee of Princess Diana sold it to the company.
Queen Elizabeth, who passed away in September at Balmoral Castle, was extremely devoted to her children and grandchildren.
